Team Z Bios
There are over two dozen Team Z members. Many prefer to let their newsgroup
and forum posts speak for themselves, but others have been kind enough
to respond to ZoneAlarm's invitation to send us their biographies. Enjoy!

years I've done beta testing for a lot of different software products.

I'm in my early 50's and have been in the Houston, Texas area for over
25 years. I haven't had a paying job in over 10 years; my last job was
help-desk support for a small group of users on a mini-mainframe. Besides
the hand-holding with users, the job involved writing "how to"
manuals from a new-to-computers point of view. When I quit work, PC's
were just starting to appear in the office. When husband and I bought
a PC, I had to learn DOS and programs on my own with a little help from
my friends. Needless to say, I have learned Windows and associated programs
on my own, but with a lot of help from my friends. My husband and I put
in a large vegetable garden every spring; I had to learn the art of canning,
so we could enjoy the harvest all year long. A lot of my time is spent
in the sewing room, as I'm a quilter. Fabric dyeing, for use in some quilts,
is another one of my vices."

I'm a CISSP - Infrastructure Analyst for a global IT services corporation
working in Managed Firewall Services, Firewall Security. Responsible for
OS hardening, log reviews and security audit reviews on Solaris and Nokia
firewalls. Currently, I'm also assigned the task of level 4 support (SME)
supporting ZoneAlarm Pro and (soon) Integrity Desktop. I obtained a Bachelors
degree in Programming back in '86 (when you couldn't even find a C++ course).
Over the last 20 years, I've seen the industry go from Timex/Sinclairs,
TI99a's (my first), indestructible IBM PC/XT's and "back-breaking"
Compaq "luggables" to where we are today with superfast microchips
in everything. I began as a PC technician/networking "do it all".
Then went on to PC Support and finally my love - Information Security.
I'm a member of (ISC)2 and ISSA with hopes of obtaining my CISA in June
2003.
